About Us

Our Association was formed by the Macleod Netball Club, back in 2000 in the interest of running competitions for players in our community and advancing players towards a higher level in the sport and education in the sport from qualified coaches. Visit their site at www.macleodnetballclub.org.au

Banyule Netball Association & the Macleod Netball club was the driving force towards a Regional Netball Stadium, in the city of Banyule., that opened in May 2003.


In July of 2007 Banyule Direct Netball was accepted by Banyule & Districts to run the Adult Competitions, with a percentage of it profits being returned to the Representative Teams in the way of Sponsorship. Visit their site at http://directnetball.org.au


BDNA also run Representative Teams and in 2012 our Rep Teams comprise of
2 x 11/under   3 x 13/under   3 x 15/under   2 x 17/under   4 x Open
Playing at Tournaments or in Royal Park.

Any player is eligible to trial for a position within our Rep Teams, as long as they have played in a BDNA or affiliated BDNA run Competition within that current year of trials and are a registered member of one of our Clubs or Teams - (9/u-17/u) - Open players are exempt from this rule.


Once selected the players must compete in a BDNA or affiliated BDNA run Competition for the following current netball seasons (12mths) and are a registered member of one of our Clubs or Teams - (9/u-17/u) Open players are exempt from this rule.

Trials for our Rep Teams are held usually end October/early Nov of the current netball year for the following years teams.
